All Quiet on the Western Front

All has been quiet on the blogging front this week as we've been quite busy. So I thought it would be a good idea to give a little update on what we've been up to :)

Monday saw Del head to the vets to get his stitches out from Operation Nuts-Off. He's healed really good and the vet is really pleased with him, although he now HATES going to the vets. So much so, he won't go into the veterinary room at all. He wouldn't go in the room when he went for his check up, and he wouldn't go in to have his stitches out. Uh-oh.

He had to have his stitches out in the reception area because we couldn't get him in the room, even by dragging with all of our might. It was too stressful for him, so the vet suggested we hold him down in the waiting area and just do it there. He's a big dog, so it took three people to keep him still while the stitches came out. It was a struggle, but we did it, and now he's completely back to his old self!

I was really proud as the vet complimented his temperament- there were no growls or aggression, even though he really wasn't happy, which is Del through and through- a big softy!

Since we've really been spoiling him with plenty of playing, treats and cuddles. Here he is playing fetch in the garden-using my partner's new HTC phone- to make it look like there are plenty of Dels! If only...

Excuse the washing...

And today we've been out for a long walk on the meadows. He's now conked out from all the excitement:

Tomorrow we've got friends coming round, including the beautiful Kate for Del to play with, so another busy one for the Chester's #1 Rottie!

What have you been up to?
